I'm hooked!!! With or without Matt Dillon. They could make curious George the main character and i'd still be watching every episode! Plus I like the new doctor because he's a smart ass like me..

1.8 mcahak - we're both still here, right? ;-) And now understand his history of dealing with Kate's strength. So, the 50's vintage sexism we see in town *is* his vision of what repopulation will need. My theory is that, unlike his sister, his human reason was lost w the first town and it's people. He's a mad god protecting humanity as a possession, incapable of understanding them, or hearing any voice but his own.

Mcahak - see my 1.7 note. It's that pesky lil testosterone poisoning thing again. I don't know if the books were ground zero, but the show is just oozing credibility out of the gaping holes sexism has forced them to cut out of the Doc

Looks like I'm outnumbered on this one. Either this guy was poorly trained as a S.S. person or he is really unable to think in a straight line. Now I know this is the movies and all that but honestly he goes from one bad decision to another.Doesn't seem like he can defend himself too well either.I'll keep going but right now it is going to be an uphill fight.

@adeba- please, don't misunderstand me. I do not believe I would want the series to run on and on. But, I WILL watch it as long as it's on. You mentioned "Under The Dome". I LOVED it, until the second season, then lost all interest. That is one thing I like about British series. When the story-line is resolved, the show ends. Not a bunch of nonsense left over.

Badger - i don't know this show's goals, but I think an intentionally short-run show dedicated to the actual content of a trilogy makes sense. The alternative often gets you something like tv's Under the Dome: longer, not stronger.

1.7 biggest gaping flaw: boys club mentality. Kate is every bit as a perfect candidate for the Truth, but it doesn't occur to the Doctor or Ethan to give her the effing tour. The Resistance folks are exactly the people capable of responding well - just as Ethan did.

( Possible Spoilers.) Unfortunately, for me, anyway, I have a very strong premonition that this is going to be a short-lived series. Happens every time I find a show I really like. I REALLY LIKE THIS SHOW.. Whether or not you give any credence to Climate Change and Global Warming, I DO, and I can see The Earth heading in this direction. To me, anyway, this scenario is all too possible. Still, I will continue watching as long as "they" will let me.

Just don't know what to say. I've watched 2 epi's and needed a break. Maybe there will be something as things go on. Great list of actors' they do a good job, must be the story line. 3 stars for now.
