The story of King George VI of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, his impromptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch become worthy of it.
Colin Firth played the part to the hilt. Just the right amount of entitlement, and just the right amount of humanity. I don't know why I waited so long to see this film. That was my mistake. Excellent performances all around.

A truly brilliant film.....Colin Firth at his very best.....The veiwer felt that they were transported to those tough pre-war years.....
