Ella is under a spell to be constantly obedient, a fact she must hide from her new step-family in order to protect the prince of the land, her friend for whom she's falling.
This movie is an absolute masterpiece, the music selection is spot on; though I do admit that Gail Carson Levine's book is much better. And Hegdragon, it's not a hat, it's his nephew's crown, and it's quite unfair to spoil the ending for those who have yet to watch the film.

Just read the book, and when tou compare them the book is waaay better. Movies great but next to the book it * s. Highly reccommend reading the book first youll get a much better experience

I love this movie. Excellent plot, setting, and characters. The storyleaves you wanting to watch more. Anne Hathaway, my favorite actor for many years. Love her acting style, it's phenomenal!
