4 hours long!!! and the ending went on and on and on..............having said that, good movie

I do wonder if many viewers of this film have actually read Tolkien.If you are one of those who have only ever seen the film,you have only a truncated version ,with Hollywood add ons that are not in any of Tolkiens literature.in short a dumbed down lord of the rings,with rather trashy lil romantic scenes..that look awful and had no place in Tolkiens writings. I am not really that impressed with the production.CGI and costumes where nice....5/10 for effort !

My God does Peter Jackson hate the United States? I own the dvd trilogy of this with the Directors cut and Extended cut and there is so much more in this film I swear I was watching it like it just came out! So much more and so much better!
