During the Cold War, an American lawyer is recruited to defend an arrested Soviet spy in court, and then help the CIA facilitate an exchange of the spy for the Soviet captured American U2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers.
Amazingly done! Than again who can go wrong with Spielberg and Hanks.

I didnt go to see this in the theatre bc the previews did nit sell me on it. Watching it now...I now know 2 things. "Never judge a book by its cover" or to "Judge a movie by its trailer".

Really quite a good movie. Excellent cast, good script and good story line that moves well. Another history lesson about how people can be when lives are disrupted.

Great story, feels more like Spielberg than it sounds like the Coens, and the spy steals every scene he's in.

It never ceases to amaze what I learn about my own timeline that I never knew. Excellent film.
