Yes trisacrn1 it is a depressing movie. Probably written to emphasize the writings of both Camus and Kafka. See Wikipedia. Both these guys dealt with depression, loneliness, etc., etc. Camus wrote about suicide and life being of no value is suicide an optional action. But then again maybe this is just a depressing movie. What do I know?
